Your IT department, without the headcount
Monitoring, patching, helpdesk, security and technology planning under one agreement, run by engineers who already know your environment.
Hiring a full IT team is expensive, and hiring one person leaves you exposed the moment they take leave. Managed services sit in between: a team with broader skills than a single hire, for less than the loaded cost of one.
We take responsibility for the whole stack. That includes the unglamorous parts other suppliers skip, like verifying that backups actually restore and keeping documentation current when staff change.
What's included
- 24/7 monitoring — servers, endpoints, network and cloud services, with alerts acted on rather than logged
- Patch management — operating system and third-party patching on a tested schedule, with rollback plans
- Service desk — a single point of contact for every user, with tickets triaged by priority
- Backup and disaster recovery — protected backups with restores tested on a schedule and the results documented
- Network and firewall — configuration, segmentation, VPN and firmware kept current
- Office IT setup and relocation — new sites, fit-outs and moves planned so day one actually works
- Technology roadmap — a quarterly review of what is ageing, what is at risk and what to budget for
- Documentation — a maintained record of your environment that belongs to you, not to us
How we start
We run a discovery across your environment, then present a findings pack: what you have, what is at risk, what it costs today. The transition plan follows from that, and we agree the order of work before anything changes.
Frequently asked
Do we lose control of our own systems?
No. All documentation, credentials and tenant ownership stay in your name. We hold delegated access. If you ever leave, you keep everything and we hand over cleanly.
What if we already have an IT person?
That works well. We typically take the after-hours load, monitoring and specialist work, which frees your internal person for the business-facing projects they were hired for.
How is this different from an AMC?
An AMC is support when something needs fixing. Managed services adds proactive monitoring, patching, backup verification and roadmap planning, so fewer things need fixing.
Are backups really tested?
Yes, on a schedule, and the restore evidence appears in your monthly report. An untested backup is an assumption, not a recovery plan.
